I ordered the aquamarine beads in 6mm and 10mm size to make a custom necklace for a client to match the colors of the suicide awareness ribbon. The 10mm beads are the same color as the photo in the listing. But, the 6mm beads are noticeably lighter, they're nearly white. Now I have to search for beads all over again and have less time to do it.The beads are nice and what I hoped hoped for except: I had them to be strung on better material.the beautiful pink striped agate came on some awful plastic line. kinda like what you use to go fishingwith I think,but I prefer it when the beads (I've bought many,many strands from them) come strung onthread. I don't always re string them if they and have made some wonderful necklaces and braceletsw/them strung as they came.Still like the beads,just disappointed on having to re stringing them,having issues w/my eyes.Well, these look exactly like the photo and are quite beautiful.... but they are definitely dyed and do not look natural. :-( They state in the description that the stones are dyed and heat-treated, but I guess I missed that when I ordered them. In any case, it was my own fault, so I am giving 4 stars---these are as described--dyed a deep blue. That said, I fully expect that these beads will stain my skin when I wear them, and dying and heat-treating stones is really quite abusive to the stones. I would never recommend dyed stones. Rather, I suggest looking for natural hawks-eye rather than these dyed stones which appear to be pietersite from China. (I'd actually rather have the natural pietersite before they dyed it blue, but unfortunately, that is not what I bought.) I will try to heal these poor stones and will use them as pietersite, not blue tiger's eye or hawk's eye. Sometimes putting them in direct sunlight can help remove some of the dye and restore some of the stone's natural characteristics.I absolutely love these!!! First off there are multiple sizes which I find absolutely fantastic. I am rather new to the jewelry making scene however I love these lava rock stone beads. They hold the scent of essential oil for at the very least 24 hours I notice it for longer but I have a redicously good scense of smell. I definitely used the 8mm the most and I'm unsure of what to do with the tiniest ones but the large ones I think I will make necklaces with for sure. The two medium sizes I have been using mainly for bracelets and trying to use for earrings. I really don't have the earring making down yet but I think it would be a lovely addition to aromatherapy jewelry. I would most certainly buy from this company again maybe even this exact set again. The case is very sturdy and not some cheap thing that will fall apart which I personally highly appreciate. Lava rocks are of very good quality and the variety in size actually brought many new ideas to me so I can't wait to purchase more.The beads were very reasonable, made of great quality, and not a single bead was broken. The beads were just as described, but the color was slightly off. What mattered the most is that my customer was made aware, and she was ok with everything! She loved her bracelets!!! She received many compliments and so did I.I bought these to make fishing lures great finish, very happy with them!I have mixed feelings about these polished quartz beads. I do think they look better polished then matte as it shows off the stone better, but this strand of beads had one bead with a large chip out and several others with flat spots from over-polishing. Combine this with the varied nature of the stone and about 3/4 of the strand has good quality beads which also show off the tourmaline and quartz. My biggest hangup is that they are significantly more expensive than the other strands I purchased so to not be able to use the full strand is disappointing.Great product, all holes were clear and I was able to use every bead with bracelets or necklaces.
